Ohio Dept of Health: Return To Play Mandate

On Wednesday, August 19th, Governor Mike DeWine released the Responsible RestartOhio guidelines specific to Phase III – Return to Competition for All Sports. While OLENTANGY UNITED is excited about this opportunity, it is incredibly important that everyone take a breath, pause and before charging headlong into games, we strongly believe that it’s best to take some time to ensure that as a club we can meet the mandated requirements of a Return to Competition.

As an organization, we feel strongly that we can meet these new mandates and will begin competition as soon as Delaware County Board of Health provides us with the go ahead.

  1. Department of Health Directors Order that provides Mandatory Requirements for Youth, Collegiate, Amateur, Club and Professional Sports (effective 11:59pm August 19, 2020)
  2. State of Ohio summarized guideline sheet for Youth, Collegiate, Amateur, Club and Professional Sports
  3. Competition may begin August 20, 2020 if all safety standards outlined in the latest Health Order listed above are in full compliance.

OLENTANGY UNITED will be following the recommendations provided as well as implementing our own guidelines based upon the new Health Order to ensure we are doing all that we can to help keep the season going for our players and families.
